  1. Well said, Dan; and nicely drawn - thoughtful and to the point.

  4. Lovely, Dan. My Grandson's birthday is today so I'm blessed to be reminded that life continues, in spite of such tragedy.

  5. It's very nicely done Dan, and I couldn't think of anything better in my head, except that I wanted to do something similar but failed.
Thanks for your comments, and I was really surprised that Betty got it right just like that too =)

  6. This is just why you are such a great artist. You don't simply know how to draw and paint, but you know how to reflect the emotion, and make a statement all at the same time. Wonderful post and a perfect tribute!

  7. A very poignant image Dan.

I've enjoyed catching up on the posts I've missed whilst on holiday. To answer your quandery, I've inked & not on holiday, and my inked pics are far more successful. So to me, the answer should be yes.

  11. Perfect.
I just wish I could sketch like this.
Everything, line and colour is just right. Always.

  12. Thank you all, so much, for your comments. It did occur to me that someone who does not know art might not be familiar with the art term "negative space", and might misconstrue the poem. To an artist negative space is very important and even seems tangible - the negative space often has as much or more substance as what exists in material form. That is what I meant.
