EDM #225 Draw Something Sticky

4" x 6" watercolor and ink on 140 lb. cold press paper.

Sometimes you want to paint a masterpiece. Sometimes you just want to draw something sticky. Thank you Everyday Matters - I never would have thought of it.

  7. Thank you all for all of your wonderfully positive comments. And I learned a new word, "tartan". (I think I knew the word once but forgot it .. really). So now, of course, I think I'm a genius since I painted tartan background and colors without even knowing it! Then again, maybe not, since I didn't even know the word. Hmmm.

  8. You succeeded in making a common object interesting, meaningful, and unique! That's artistry.

  9. Great little painting. I just came from a blog where the tape was drawn in fun, whimsical colors to find a more realistic drawing. They are so different but both are wonderful. Yours makes the tape look like the everyday object it is yet holds it worthy of it's own space on paper. I like it.

  10. This one is really dramatic. The green with the red really packs a punch.
